Hello, I'm Emily!
I am a MA Film Production and Film & Television Studies graduate, as well as a screenwriter with a deep love for storytelling.
My core passions have always been within animation. When I was young my parents accumulated an epic collection of Disney animated features for my sister and I, and these were easily my first love. Moving forward a few years, after each repeated viewing of Nick Park's Wallace and Gromit shorts, my dream job as a child had been to work for Aardman Animation Studios. By the time I reached high school, I discovered anime (and by association, manga), and realised how experimental storytelling could be.
Animation has been formative to me in my desire to not only write but to read, watch, and invest myself in fantastical worlds that exist best within such a visual medium. Walt Disney's ethos of the power storytelling holds as a tool to inspire remains a creed I strive towards.

With this casual blog I hope to offer my two-cents on animation features and series- as well as manga- that I engage with, and textual analyses and opinion pieces of some personal favourites of mine.
